Become a qualified microchip implanter
Government legislation makes it quite easy for dog breeders, cat breeders, and individuals offering a pet service to obtain the necessary qualifications to legally implant microchips.
Currently, Cats & Dogs must be Microchipped and owners can be fined £500 if they fail to comply with the legislation.
The Microchipping of Cats and Dogs (England) Regulations 2023 state that Cats that are older than 20 weeks will need to be Microchipped and Dogs must be Microchipped over the age of 8 weeks.
You will need to enroll in a 1-day microchipping course at an authorised center. Our super-premium subscription plan offers clients courses, including microchipping courses at discounted prices.
After you complete the course you are then required to conduct a given amount of implants under the supervision of a qualified person before you are issued with your accreditation.
We offer microchipping courses for individuals who are looking to receive their microchipping qualification to perform microchipping on dogs, cats, and horses.
The microchipping courses include a module that contains a series of lessons, taught by a qualified instructor, plus an assessment that contains multiple choice questions. Once you complete both and satisfy the requirements, you’ll automatically and immediately have access to your Certificate of Achievement and become a qualified implanter.
